It's so fun to watch our children's personalities develop, and now Jude is at an age where we're starting to see some spiritual development happening. Talk about exciting! He's always had such a tender heart and sweet spirit towards us and those around him, and now he's becoming very tender to the things of God ~ always ready to hear another Bible story, wanting to pray on his own, and curious about heaven and the things God created. I hear that his daddy was the same way as a young boy, and I can't imagine anything better than our sweet boy following in the footsteps of his amazingly godly dad.
Because we pray at bedtime each night, Jude also likes to pray before nap time in the afternoon. Here was his precious prayer today:
"Dear God, thank you for my mommy and daddy and Emily. Thank you for mommy taking such good care of me. Please help me to sleep well and to be still and quiet. And bring daddy home safely tonight. In Jesus' name, amen."
